I do not think it will affect the price. As I have one is 101 dot red spot on NGC MS70. It will affect the price seriously. I will take the video in next few weeks. I will do weekly video from this sat onward.
hmm...I noticed some sellers offering graded coins with red dots. (I think I saw some from Liberty Coins) In your opinion, red dot will drive the price down? That is scary. Means some high premium slabbed coins require proper keeping conditions, which is a cost and a hassle. :re videos I wish one of you guys ( our forum experts) cover a bit on chinese ingots/sycees
Generally, one or few small red dots can be conserve by Ncs. however ngc no guarantee you will get the same grade after cleaning. Ncs will inform you if the grade will go lower after cleaning. As many red dots on ms70 which I will say forgot it. Red spot will reduce premium and pcgs slab for panda coin also fetch lower price. As Chinese old ingots which is another segment of china coins collection. I have no knowledge on it. I am not sure any members of here with good knowledge on it.
Hi Andrew, What's your thoughts on collectibility of 1/10 Pandas? i.e. earlier 1992,1994, 1997 or later years? These seems to be providing an affordable entry into Panda-madness OFP vs Slabbing? Cheers, gK
Depend on smaller one is more easy to liquidate in your country or you willing to ship internationally or not. Many factors need to consider in buying decision. Different years are price differently in market for the 1/10 gold panda.
I think I hear what you are saying. It is a complex decision. Recently I managed to pick up some 1/10oz 1992, 1994, 1997s pandas for 160USD each. And today I think I traced the source and picked up some 1995s for 145USD each. For local market, it is a good price, so I guess I will put them away somewhere and see what happend with local and global demand.
These are not for a sale at the moment, I am still doing my homework on the collectibility of 1/10 pandas. Will let you know, if they come up for a sale. I wonder what would be the future trend for such items, surprisingly there is a low demand here in New Zealand.
I wonder what people do with the coins that have some red spots. (would they open the seal, clean and...put in a jewellery or something?) found 2-3 spotted coins, while sorting 1995s
