red back crazy price - don't get too excited now

    I can't believe this, this really is crazy and beyond my comprehension.

    Ebay Item: 330539603081

    A one ounce 2006 Red back coin going for AUD$736.
    $736!!! Who would be crazy enough to want that?

    Numisists... numimatic... numatic... damn coin collectors, they are mad. I don't understand them.

    That's better than I found on there on Saturday. I've never searched for the Redback until I saw it mentioned in the Kangaroo thread.

    3 on there, all Buy Now, cheapest was $1199 (200583689129)

    For a Redback, that's cheap.

    They regularly go for around 1kg in Silver in sale value.

    Well that has just been my fact to learn for today. Redbacks go for exhorbant prices (or however it is spelt).

    As for the redback spider coin... I just don't get it.... the Nemo was such a better coin...why won't anyone buy my Nemo's for $1500? :mad:

    how many were actually selling at $1k+, i used to see them listed but never saw anyone buy any..

    My other half bought 2 of these coins in 07 or 08 for $75 each & gave 1 to me & 1 to her dad,i sold them both about 12 months ago for $1000 & $1100,people just love them for some reason.
