would anyone know if these 1oz and 5oz pandas are real or not?? to me they look fake http://shop.ebay.com.au/hdhsui55/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562
Unless I really knew what to look for I wouldn't be buying Pandas off there. But that's just me. So to answer your question I don't know DOH !!
Maybe real, MAYBE...are you willing to risk your $ is the real question. If they can knock up an I-pad in a week or less ???
For starters, and it is a HUGE tell that they are fake. The 5 ozers DO NOT have a value, they should have 50 Yuan value minted on them.
On top of that. A -84 Panda looks like this..... You SHOULD KNOW what it is that you are looking at before you purchase ANYTHING Panda .
Yeah they are fake & I told eBay about too, it so hopefully they will be delisted before anyone else gets burned.
They are still listed but the seller has added COPY to the description. At least, that's being honest about it.
I am sure these are silver plated. For anyone who is interested I have added dissections of a fake silver 1999 Large Date and a couple of bogus 2000 silver Mirror Pandas to the Bad Bears Report at http://www.pandacollector.com/rogue.html. Best wishes, Peter Anthony http://www.pandacollector.com
Now this seller is calling them classic coins instead of copy coins. His account should be canceled. Item number: 170614292279
Just spotted this store on e-Bay Is this the same seller already reported ? http://stores.ebay.co.uk/riuynn58?_trksid=p4340.l2563 PS - After reporting to e-Bay as suspect fraud / counterfeit, within a few hours the item and shop disappeared ! A result at last. This seller and shop was based in Australia - be careful out there !!
Was just about to post a similar question after seeing this http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Classic-1993...250786715938?pt=AU_Coins2&hash=item3a640d9922
It actually seems like ebay is being overrun with fake pandas. I'm just thinking about starting a stack and I think that this has convinced me to go through reputable dealers instead of ebay.
