Yup, got one! Would have to be my favourite Harrington bar as it comes in at least three different versions Same size bars just with various stamps.
I think most of these vintage Harringtons would have been snapped up for private collections here and overseas, or melted down a long time ago! Ten years ago, I used to be able to pick up a Harrington bar every few months for pretty much the same price as a generic ABC bar however it's been at least 3 years since I last sourced any!
I have been dabbling with the purchase of a few obscure or hobbyist Australian refiners that are no longer in business. These brands are not well known so I doubt many were produced! You can usually buy them for the same price as a generic ABC bar or sometimes even lower so I think there's very little downside to collecting them! Humbolt who is a stacker on this forum has produced some really nice quality bars! Ps I messaged Humbolt about the mintage of these bars and unfortunately he never kept records of the numbers he produced. His rough estimate is that he produced more than 50 but less than 100 of these bars.
This one is an AGSX cast bar! They were in business for only a few years and I don't think a lot of these bars were produced as they switched to minted products pretty early. Aesthetically a very nice looking bar.
