In 1983, $100per/oz was a very real possibility. A little optimistic perhaps but the guy writing is a bullion dealer, it's in his best interest to "see" silver prices "going to the moon"!

That some amazing provenance for your bar you've got there @Bullion NetWork

That would be around $1000 in today's $ roughly.
I wander what kind of premium would 1oz coin attract,

Yes actually, I had not considered $100oz today being substantially less than $100oz in 1980's dollars... Good point.
I'll have some of whatever Jerome is smoking!!

Amongst the bars I purchased from the late Melbourne Jeweller Peter Davis where these mid 19th Century 10 Lang Annam (Vietnamese) Minh Meng Nén Bac Silver Ingots.
They're undoubtedly the oldest bullion I've ever owned.
They XRF tested at .917-.920 & weigh around 380g (so basically 10oz fine silver weight)
Thinking about putting a couple up for sale.

Rare Johnson Matthey Bankers Ltd 100g 100 Gram Silver Bullion Bar Box 500 Made
The 100 gram Johnson Matthey Bankers Limited silver bar is an excellent way to add to your silver position for you silver stackers and store wealth for the future. This 100 Grammes (Old English) .999 Silver bar was made in very low numbers. After much research we believe less than 500 were ever minted by JM in the 1977 or 1978 years. For sure most got melted a year or 2 later in the bull run of 1979-1980.

The front of the bar bears the inscription “100 grammes” and “.999 Fine Silver Bullion,” along with a serial number and the Johnson Matthey Bankers Limited logo of crossed hammers on the left. The reverse has a small repeated pattern of the logo. This bar no leading edge stamp on the edge as all others we have found do have. Very Rare for sure. Worth much more that just the silver content !

This previously owned bar contains 100 grams or 3.215 oz. of .999 fine silver.

Is this price a sign of where Cragside Pendants are headed. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Up until recently there has been very little interest in Cragside pendants so this level of interest (28 bids by 5 different bidders) in a piece is very unusual.

If anyone has any of the old vintage Perth Mint 5 oz cast bars, now might be a good time to sell.

Seen one recently sold for nearly $3400 on a $150 estimate.

I am not too familiar with these, but surely that must be just about a record?

Having trouble getting info an extruded 100oz PM bar:

Thought I had a match for it in:
    https://allengelhard.com/the-collections/lesser-refiners/perth-mint/
    upload_2023-7-27_21-59-1.png

But... No Serial, and the purity stamp position is up the top, not in the middle...

Otherwise seems to be the same in shape and size. Which unfortunately, I can tell by comparing it a bar matching the above serials: 002894...
Which poses the second (2x) problems...
1: The 002894 is also slightly different in that the position of the numbering stamp is about a cm lower, closer to the purity stamp...
2: Unless they skipped some serial numbers (possible), or changed to a variant of the setup for the rest of the number sequence, then the counts as above may be a bit off.

    See below for full comparison...
    100Oz-extruded-set.jpg

Anyone know of another good resource for types and production quantities of these PM bars?

I am a big fan of Harringtons! I cant believe there are so many things out there that keep poping up. The item description is rather interesting on this item if it is legit.
"This was the last project I was working on before I sold Harringtons. Only a small number of these prototype pendants were ever made."
Seems like the seller is Mr Harrington!
