Rare, Collectable and Old Fashion Silver Bar. II

Consecutive! Were they from a single owner, or two different people?

 

I have one of those. I use it as a weight to hold some stuff down. Are they rare?

Last one from me. This 509 gram Matthey Garrett has been taped up at one stage and written on:

Love the look of these old harrington doorstops, very pirate booty looking

 

although, allengelhard didn't give me a credit for discovering MG 1kgs

I will report a sighting of another beauty - 2kg size. (observed on TM, enjoy ;-) )

It only took me a fortnight to actually see your mention of the similar crown stamps. They do resemble each other, but I don't think the producers are related. The crown mint bars were made here in the US decades ago, and they are pretty scarce bars now, I've seen them in 5oz and 15oz sizes. Are the SBA bars currently in production?

 

That is a gorgeously unique bar! Stunning!

With one exception, I wasn't able to hunt down any vintage silver bars at generic prices this week, so we ended up splurging a bit on these . . . I think they're worth it!

 

Just found these rippers.
Never seen with the QLD counter stamp (QLD Silver Reclamation) before...

 

3 out of these 4 are on there way to me now....
Purchased in 1975 with photo of invoice to show date and $3.83per oz...LOL

I acquired this collection of stamped and unstamped omega M & B Mining Vintage silver bars. not sure what to do with them as I cannot find a single example of the 1/2 oz bars much less the unstamped examples

 

An awesome find here, the bars under 10 oz do command a nice premium, the .5 oz ones are the most scarce based on my experience. I don't see them turn up often, maybe once a year on ebay.

 

3 different moulds used to produce these 3 Harrington's plus I have never seen a 1983 before.

 

Maybe for sale at the right price or maybe not

I've got a couple. Some around 70g some around 80g
All with an aphbate on reverse side, either A or B or C
