Just got my first final production 5ozs Perth Mint bar love it. Next to my F-Matt style 10ozs for size comparison. Happy Christmas to me....
Got these two bars, don't know if they are keepers or not. Argor Chiasso changed logo to Argor Heraeus in 1986, so the one on the right is at least 30 years old (plastic not original). The one on the left is modern Argor Heraeus, it seems to be double struck (not sure if this is the right expression). Should I keep or flip?
I can't stand to look at the one on the left too closely, it gives me a headache LOL. Very nice bars, the one on the right is definitely a keeper and rarely found here in that size without paying a high premium. The one on the left does turn up here periodically but not such a strange doublestruck example like yours.
Strange. Just saw those two bars pop up for sale on a US-based forum. What a coincidence. Anyway nice bars. Have always been a fan of kilo silver bars, especially the older poured one.
Mine are not for sale, unless you mean bars just like mine. If you could send me link to the sale, I'm interested for how much they will sell.
hhmmmm.. kitkat..... dunno much about it and if someone can 'enlightment' me with more info on this one... thx
I may be able to dig information up on these, as I've seen them before and I vaguely recall some detailed information included back then. Right now there is a listing of one of these on ebay by seller justliven16 FYI
Thanks mate. The guy replied me that his kitkat bar was manufactured by Kingsmen Silver in 1970s.. but nothing else...a small difference to mine is the letter 'H' on the top left section (next to the weight)... But no more details for me to dig up this refinery information....
Anyone seen one of these before in it's box (except the person I got out off? : ) Odd weight, 82 grams...
phrenzy I've only ever seen images of 100g ABC bars in the cases. Could be a one size fits all for 100g and 70gram odd weight (with A stamped on the back) and 80g odd weight (guessing your one in the case has C stamped on back?).
Yes with a single C, but not assuredly very close to 2.5 ounces add certainly not 3 and certainly not 100 grams, re weighing it this morning on a better surface gave me 80 even give or take. Very cool piece to have in it's box.
That's a beautiful collection... That crown moulds crown looks like it's the SBA crown... Does anyone know anything about SBA the company or seen this 100g bar? Are they related to the crown moulds? In those small bars above?
SBA are based in Melbourne - they minted the SGB Series of Dissent, and I think also produced some of the Goldstackers XAG rounds. Edit: yep, see http://forums.silverstackers.com/message-570330.html#p570330 About SBA: http://sbagroup.com.au/bullion/about/ Bullion products: http://sbagroup.com.au/bullion/store/
Just had these arrive..... How bloody RARE to find this style with SCCC counter-stamp and low consecutive serial No......
