Just heard about this on the news. Sydney NYE fireworks coin. Went looking thinking it was going to be a mass produced cupronickel brown $1 coin, and found it's a silver proof. Not surprised, the news team wouldn't know the difference. http://www.ramint.gov.au/media/press-releases/2013/20131202.cfm When I thought it was a cupronickel coin with an image of Sydney I thought "Just like the Coronation and Poppy $2 coins I bet none come to Sydney even though they feature Sydney itself" I wouldn't be surprised if they all still go to Melbourne and Brisbane just like the Coronation coins. In case anyone wonders, the big question mark in the centre of the graphic covers the actual bridge centrepiece graphic as that is somehow 'secret'. Please, Clover, does anyone really care.
