Edited to reflect that I actually read Clawhammers post which had a link to the toilet seat story.

I won't vote Labor ever again after Bligh. So to all the power brokers in any political party I say "keep a leash on your psycho's because when this sort of rubbish comes out you risk alienating your party for decades if not decades then you can become irrelevant like the joke that the Democrats were/are"

NSW? Why not try Victoria - The Police State.

Nugget..Why not become a political atheist like me..I have a long memory...Joe used to get his pay packets in brown lunch bags..Remember?:) What about the Minister for Main Roads, Police and Racing in the Joe government. Now, there are some stories to be told there. They are all the same I tell you..

Solution.. Give them all two terms then heave them out before they get entrenched. :)

    Regards Errol 43

    Edited for spelling error.

As far as debt goes I think it is the way people think that is the problem. People seem to love credit cards, loans etc.

No-one seems to save, it is all about "I NEED a ......." no worries put it on credit or get a loan. The "need" may be a 60 inch plasma or a new car because the old one is three years old. There is no waiting and buying it when you have the money.

Same with govt, no money to fund something and there is an election next year...... We could just borrow the 500 million??? Easy that's fixed next item is..... No thought as to how it will be payed off.

    ???

How many Gen Y's in govt, as a proportion?

That's a crazy comment. But I won't say anything more otherwise this will turn into another one of those pointless generation arguments.

Here's one strategy being employed in the US

The city had $5k in the bank and the Unions are taking the city to court to get them to pay more?

They should go into debt and live beyond their means.
