I have a pair of a custom made gold ring that I got back in 2005. I had a (low-ish quality) blue saphire with zirconia.

Been thinking of selling them, and wonder how do you work out the gold weight? Or the only way is to pull off the stones? The saphire is easy to pull from the crown, but the zirconia is hard to take out.

    Any idea? Thank You.

If you can get the stones out that's the most accurate way. Otherwise I have seen Peter Davis just make an educated guess. I wouldn't think the stones would be more than a 1gr?

    A picture might help

The ring is not solid on the back, its pretty hollow/thin. Don't know if its worth to melt it.

I have send you a mms, i can't upload at the moment, laptop is dying.
