    Series II 1 oz proof tiger anyone have an idea what would be a fair price at the moment

    ^^^ Mintage was 5,000 1oz proof coins, 5,000 were struck so fully minted.

    Original post was for a fair price. I'd say theres a difference here between a fair price and current market price.

    I'd have a punt and say the market price is probably in the $300-$400 range. A fair price I would put at more like $150-$200.

    Yeah finding this one hard to get and would really like one. I agree on above with pricing.

    I've got several of each year 1oz proof in series 2 and the prices I paid (this would have been within a month of their release by the mint each year) were:

    2008 Mouse - > $69
    2009 Ox - > $75
    2010 Tiger - > $89
    2012 Dragon - > $119

    point is, each year their issue price keeps getting higher from the mint, way more than spot can be attributed to their rise. I'm not sure the later 1oz proofs will be the bargain the earlier in the series were.

    Also, it seems the series 2 Tiger proofs with a mintage of 5,000 are worth more than the series 1 Tiger proofs with a mintage of 2,500.

    Odd things happen in numismatics !
