Private silver sale (Perth Mint 99.9% bullion bars (20oz and 10oz)

Hi all. New member here.
I have decided i might sell some of my stack in Perth. (Perth Mint bullion bars - 99.9% - 20oz and 10oz bars)
How do you guys normally sell your bullion - i've done some private sales of a few bars here and there. Wondering how others do it?

 

Just look at a few previous FS posts mate. Good descriptions and upload pics and your away .

 

Well I guess thats a start. Post up a few photos, brief description and price. Also post your terms. Payment, delivery [f2f or Aus post]

One thing you will need to think about is payment terms. Because you are a new member, most existing long term members with good purchase and sales records will expect delivery before payment for the first couple of sales.

If you are unwilling to do this them maybe try F2F in Perth to get you started.

Oh - i was thinking face to face was understood - do people actually buy sight unseen? i didnt think anyone would do that - i thought F2F was pretty much the only way ot could be safely done?

Hi all - have had about half a dozen PMs pretty much asking the same thing.
I have about 80 bars of 20oz 99.9% (Perth Mint) bullion bars. Had it for 10 years. I have decided to leave Aust for good and it's too difficult to take (way too heavy and import duties, travel insurance, etc etc).

 

My options are;
1. bring it overseas and pay import duty
2. sell it to the Perth Mint
3. sell it privately
4. keep it for another 10 years, lol

 

how much for the lot?

Dunno - thats part of the reason Im here - wondering what protocols you guys follow for sales. i assume no-one sells back to the Mint with their whopping 14% spread

 

even after 10 years, 14% spread hurts a bit, lol

Hi all - i have just spent 30 minutes on this site trying to relocate this page - couldnt find it anywhere - ended up having to use search box and typing in my own name to find the post. What is the usual way to keep track of threads here?
I now have 9 PMs regarding this thread.
So some more answers - i'm based in perth - i dont know anything about shipping. I would imagine F2F is the best.
Still have not seen any suggestions here on standard protocol for private sales.
