I may have an opportunity to purchase a rare proof 1937 Half Sovereign.
    Mintage around 5000.
Prices seem to be all over the place depending on the grade!
Anyone here able to give me a price range?
    Thanks

I'd guess around $750 or thereabouts.

    oowww that sound nice AeL!
when this all blows over i'm hoping to slowly build a stack of numi gold coins. I just can't justify spending a lot on a little metal considering the alternative at my stage.

Not sure what going on with the ebay seller you provided a link to.
He has listed this same coin again for $999
The seller who is offering this coin to me has gotten a lowball offer from Wynnard Coins for $575 which he has rejected.
Anyway I will catch up with him later this week and check the coin out.

Yes he did, but eBay wanted to pay $480 regardless. (Add some more as the seller has 95% feedback).

The coin you want is the full sovereign, valued around the same price as the 1937 2 sovereign and far more valuable as two 1937 half sovereigns.

I can sell mine for $575 if anyone is interested.
No risk as Wynnard Coins will buy it.

I do not really want to sell that, but I have the 2 and the 5 pounds open for offer.

I'm not looking to buy, simply wondering what the going rate is!

The current price start at $2300, MS65 is around 3000, but if they grade higher you get even more.
(Dealers in shops ask a bit more.)
