Hi all! I thought I would get some feedback from those that keep records of their previous purchases. Just had a look at the Perth Mint website and saw that with a spot of $22.52 the Perth mint Silver coins are selling at an exact $10 premium of $32.52. Can anyone give me some rough dates of previous purchases when the spot was in the $30-$45 range and what the premiums were then? Just trying to figure out what sort of premium increase we are seeing now compared to before the plunge. Feel free to throw in gold coins as well.
Great idea. It would be great to get an idea of issue/buying prices for Coins. Be interesting to get a list of the issue prices for as many kooks and lunars as buyers here have experience of paying.
Don't have records but roughly the premiums have remained the same in dollar terms even back to when silver was sub $15.
From as long as I can recall the Perth Mint's own retail premium on Kookaburras has been $10, regardless of spot.
Not just looking for coins but billion. Looking to see if there is a trend that shows the spread between spot and physical at time of purchase to see if there is a widening when the spot price plunges.
Retail for the 1oz Dragon from Perth on 01 September 2011 was: AUD $49.25 (Spread sheets records) USD Spot was $41.47 http://www.kitco.com/scripts/hist_charts/yearly_graphs.plx Exchange rate... 01 September 2011 USD vs AUD = 1 USD = 0.93253 AUD on 9/1/2011 http://www.exchange-rates.org/Rate/AUD/USD/9-1-2011
