Let's face it, they get no love. I have an offer to buy some of these below $6 each. At $35.40 spot, they are priced well under the $6.44 they would fetch at spot price. I'm new to coin buying and I'm looking for a little advice. Should I buy? What price would get you buying?

Australian predecimal silver under spot = no brainer, jump on it.

I got a few today at average price of $5 each, common years in F to VF.

Fair enough and thanks for the feedback. I'm not trying to rubbish the coins. I think I've discovered the crowns today as my new favorite coin. But the pre '46 coins seem to be alot more popular, which is hardly surprising considering their silver content. Presumeably there are a fair few more of these than pre '46 florins. My question, I guess , is whether these coins generally trade at below spot (by the kilo), and if so, by how much roughly?

@kilo. Yes, $5 each would get me buying too. I'm looking at them for a bit higher.
