With all the cryptos being created I thought I would create my own, called ponzicoin, works just like bitcoin but better

It's got a decentralised chain block and will make the world a better place

Currently in talks with amazon and PayPal about possible use of this new exciting crypto

You can use it to buy stuff on a internets one day instead of using fiat, sounds awesome I know

Due to the massive potential of this crypto initial ICO will be minimum $50k AUD for 100k ponzicoins

My mate Dave and his cousins reckon this is the ducks nuts and you should all jump onboard while it so cheap

    Pm me for more details

Satoshi Nakamoto already did this and is holding on to $3 billion worth today 27/06/2017 . Not bad.

I want Bitcoin to hit $10,000. Wish I had mined more, too worried about wasting electricity lol.

Pity I had a mindset just like you a few months back. If I had been more accepting of cryptocurrencies back then, I would have been ahead of the curve and definitely much richer now.

Anyway, to each their own! I've learnt that it's pointless to argue with someone who isn't ready to accept the pros/cons of cryptocurrencies and just write them off as a ponzi.

You forgot to say how it's a decentralize blockchain and how it will make the world a better place. That's the hot keys words to use atm :D

I for one will buy your ponzicoin, because i know as soon as it hits an exchange like Poloniex a bunch of idiots will buy it without knowing what it is.

I collect community currencies so I heard about Bitcoin when it was first released, I read up about it and then decided that as I couldn't add it to my album I wouldn't buy any, but I really liked the idea, this was back when you needed a dozen or so to buy a pizza if yo could find somewhere to accept them. Also had no interest in mining them for myself, particularly when I heard about the bitcoin farms in China.

I still like the idea of having a decentralised currency that isn't controlled by the central banks and would allow snoop free purchases but from what I can see these are just a way of speculating. Not sure much gets bought with them. I am waiting for them to settle down before I buy any, too volatile for me to want to use regularly.

    Damn you got me!

I would suggest you change the name to something fancier. Like OMGcoin or YOLOcoin or something. Millennials dig that shit.

I see that every other day their is some new crypto promising this that and everything else when all they are after is to get rich quick after seeing the latest run on cryptos,

I'm not bagging the tech I feel there is a future in it, but not in the way it is currently used as a speculative investment.

Look what happened with ether with one glitch, people have lost millions and coinbase are going to refund them???

What happens when the next crypto gets hacked, will I be refunded?

I know this is a piss take, and I saw another great one on the Antshares sub reddit yesterday too.

But damn, if you actually start reading about the technology being developed on block chains these days, it's absolutely insane. If you look past all the scam ICO crap going on (I really don't like this ICO stuff that has popped up in the last couple years since I last was around crypto), there is some glorious technological advances being made which I really hope take off.

As I said I like the tech, has good potential in a fully digital world.

But unless world governments get on board it will always be dodgy.

It's meant to replace fiat, but instead it is bought with fiat hoping to earn more fiat, it defeats the purpose it was created for.

How can I use bitcoin to buy things in a digital world when it has a value against fiat, one day it could be worth $3500 a coin the next $2, unless it is a pure digital coin that can't be converted to fiat it is to unrealistic to use as a currency.

I don't think bitcoin will ever replace fiat it's like saying fiat will go back on a gold standard

Yep this is what I have found and it's really sad to see. Its like when I watched an interview with the core team (bitcoin main developers) and non of them use bitcoin. I think I even remember them saying they didn't think bitcoin should be used to buy things?? Wft!
