[Poll] Who is sick to death of the same sex marriage debate?
SSM and BTC are the only interesting newsfeeds at the moment.
^^^ I'm sick of cryptos too.
Sick of post-modernist activists co-opting minorities causes and using them to create havoc for their own purposes.
And I don't like anybody very much.
Yes ,now we need to move onto
Dismantling all "god bothering departments "
I'm sick of the 'Yes' people at my work. One of them went around asking everyone what they were voting, assuming they'd all say 'Yes'. I said 'No'. He gave me a look like I was the most evil person he'd ever met. Now I'm sure he's out to sabotage me behind my back.
I'm sick of all the rainbow love hearts painted on the sidewalk. Using permanent paint on public infrastructure used to be considered vandalism, but now it's socially acceptable because a minority group want to re-define the family structure.
I only wish this was a referendum to repeal the Marriage Act. For this I could vote Yes.
I'm not much for the debate either way, but I have been enjoying a little pot-stirring in the thread..
just stone them, the image and the mirror to death, then we don't even need to change the law
so there isn't a need to cast a vote
shall we continue with the stacking.boating.accident.H2O
.....i think gay people are sick to death of the same sex marriage debate
What debate? I always see yes vote commercials and don't recall ever seeing a no vote one. Same goes for talk on radio. It's always talk in favor of yes vote. Reminds me of them suicidal progressive leftists in Europe.
Nah, not sick of it.
This is the only place it is being discussed for me.
None of my friends are talking about it, none of my family are talking about it, none of my co-workers are talking about it.
No one I know gives a damn either way.
I have some gay relatives but they are not politically active (although I am no longer allowed to call something that is pathetic "faggoty") and they are not particularly vocal about being gay, no rainbows all over the place etc. They haven't asked me how I am voting and they haven't even brought the subject up at all.
I have some religious relatives but they are not particularly evangelical and I have no idea of their opinions on gay marriage.
My workplace has been silent on the issue, nothing up on the noticeboards and no one going around poking their noses into other peoples' business.
I haven't seen anything in the local district like they have in the big cities, no rainbow flags, no protests, no marches, no graffiti.
I also don't have a TV, listen to the radio or read a newspaper so I am mostly unaware of all that sort of thing going on in other places. The only other place I see anything on the subject is 4Chan's /pol/ board and despite it's reputation, it is a fairly balanced conversation.
So far it has all been very respectful.
I have to say though that I work in a hospital, where most people are very highly trained and very aware of the political and social ramifications of being a dick.
Most of my relatives are in their late 30's to 40's so have a lot of life experience and have gotten over the period of their life when they think their opinion is the only one worth hearing. Most have children and know how damaging it potentially could be to their offspring if they started badmouthing gays in front of them.
None of my friends are religious or gay or if they are, it is not such a large part of their identity that it has come to the fore.
Everyone already knows how they are going to vote and no amount of protests or shaming is going to make any difference, just annoys people.
My wife and I have no particular strong feelings either way and don't trust the ABS to safeguard anything so will be abstaining from the postal vote.
