I am trying to help out a fellow stacker. He needs a variety of 2011 1oz coins for his baby niece born last year. I have sent him a pm with the following list. 2011 1 oz Buffalo round 2011 1 oz Maple (Not milky) 2011 1oz Philharmonic Orchestra 2011 1 oz Taku Turtle 2011 1 oz Koala 2011 1 oz Kookaburra 2011 1 oz Andean Cat 2011 1 oz Blue-Throated Macaw 2011 1 oz Britannia All in capsules. I am willing to sell or trade but would really like some help with pricing this lot. How much should I ask or what should I trade for??? Stuffed if I know. Lol. I don't usually sell, I just buy what I like and stack on. Please help me to help a fellow stacker. Thanks.
I'm going to go $420 The bottom 6 @ $50 The top 3 @ $40 These are round figures but if they were my coins this is what I would want.
My guesses are on the low side & highly conservative due to SS being a tough market recently, definitely above $345 the whole lot though imo.
somewhere in between, in my opinion 2011 1 oz Buffalo round 36 2011 1 oz Maple (Not milky) 38 2011 1oz Philharmonic Orchestra 38 2011 1 oz Taku Turtle 39 2011 1 oz Koala 41 2011 1 oz Kookaburra 41 2011 1 oz Andean Cat 50 2011 1 oz Blue-Throated Macaw 50 2011 1 oz Britannia 45 so 380 is a good figure
OK guys, Thanks for your help. I don't need to sell so I won't be going too low. I just thought I might help and buy gold with the proceeds. I will offer him the lot for $380 + postage. Let's see what he says.
You're probably correct Roman, they're worth more than that. However on SS it's been a poor performance for all of these coins, either due to tight purses or whatnot. Here's an example of $43 2011 & $41 2010 britannias: http://forums.silverstackers.com/message-313545.html#p313545
Yeah, no love for Silver at the moment Really hard to sell anything these days. I would part with any coin in my collection for the prices you have listed (if I was selling) but at the same time I wouldn't come away being happy or satisfied. Always get more activity when the price is moving upwards, so backwards this community is!
Sounds like a fair price to me, done! If it wasn't because I wanted to get the presents sorted for the next couple of years I wouldn't be buying much silver at the moment either! Thanks for all your input stackers!
