They are certainly selling like a red hot item. Even Ainslie sold out in quick time with a $400 premium. Will be interesting what they bring in the private market in a few months

I phoned Ainslie this morning. They asked for $1880.

Wish they had the silver design. Not a fan of the gold and Platinum design, so not worth a premium to me.

    look at this:https://brisbanebullion.com.au/2023-1oz-lunar-series-iii-year-of-the-rabbit-platinum-coin

and then this-how come they got more than 20 when aussie dealers only get 5?-https://bullionexchanges.com/2023-1-oz-platinum-lunar-year-of-the-rabbit-australian-perth-mint

The question is who is still the buyer at these extreme premiums and what is the "guarantee" you will recover your premium. If you dont buy it stays on the selves means premium has to lower.

Always will be buyers who want to complete lunar sets snd also since its the last one with the queens face. Mouse, bull and tiger have sold around $2200 to $2350 in recent months and that's when spot was alot lower too. I can see them bring $2500+ quite soon.

Doubt it, Tiger Pt was recently sold for $1800. There is not as much demand for these as the pumpers will make you believe. Places selling for above $2000 find they sit on the site for ages! There is massive coin fatigue as mints went crazy making thousands of different types of coins.

Time will tell but if Ainslien sold out in an hour at around $1880 and in this forum alone prices have exceeded $2200 for earlier versions there will always will be collectors wanting it for there set. For many collectors its not about the money. I would much prefer to have a few than not moving forward.

Looks like they do with reduced price, seems they are trying all venues to milk as much as possible

I'd have to breach one of my non-negotiable stacking rules of not buying into hype so nah I'm sticking to the birds!

Good on you for sticking to the guns, seems one of the reasons for the hype is this will be the last platinum Perthmint coin with the queen o_O
