    Look at any photo of a similar coin and you will know its fake straight away. Even coins pulled out of the dirt look better than that and have a much sninier gold lustre to them.

    Don't take this personally but I do think that you are blinded by greed.

    Which is more likely?

    1) Street Vendor is selling a gold coin for below spot
    2) Street Vendor is selling a counterfeit gold coin to a tourist who thinks that the Street Vendor doesn't know that he is selling a gold coin for below spot.

    That coin looks cast. Detail is just wrong wrong wrong.

    There are plenty of fake gold coins out there - don't waste your money.

    I wouldn't take a risk for this coin, when the price is already $800.
