Ive been stacking unleaded for a while, I bought two cars which have dual fuel for this exact reason. Australian refiners are closing creating a bottleneck for supply of petrol to Australia from Singapore.
And I use Premium in the Jag Add 15c a litre , that's nearly $1.80 a litre I'm looking for sponsors for my weekly fuel bill ANYBODY :lol:

Yes E10 or even E85 is false economy....you use more if it to go the same distance as petrol even though its a bit cheaper to buy.
^ + 1 My car hates it. Im going back to riding a motorbike,$6500 rideaway for a nice ktm 200cc at the moment Or $2500 rideaway for a new honda cb125e Yeah they arnt the fastest things but hey ! Cheap rego,cheap fuel -cant go wrong In my situation,the rate fuels going a bike would pay itself off in a year or 2 versus my petrol costs.
Tom Elliot was talking yesterday to a guy from fuel watch, and they both mentioned that since the big two had started their discount dockets the price no longer converts (crude price, Aus dollar) So once again we are getting screwed, I just need to find those 45 cent discount vouchers which they spoke of?
I put a big thought of this before but I scrapped it due to safety. In NSW (not sure in other states), cars travel pretty fast unlike in asian countries where they are bumper to bumper. If a car travels 60km/hr and collides with the bike, it aint very pleasant result.

Anyway, woolies now sells bus tickets. 3 x bus tickets zone 3 already cost you $100+. Whilst it provides a benefit to us (convenience, points, amex ccard payment method) but they keep consumers to buy petrol from their chain outlet. Hard to escape from the chain nowadays.

However the roads where i live are not as congested & dont have as many multi lane roads compared to somewhere like sydney. I would never consider purchasing a bike as my main means of transport if i lived in a city like that as its near suicidal. Whilst in indonesia i saw a local get run over on his scooter by a car at low speed,he was trapped but managed to get pulled out from under the vehicle. His arm was mangled but he came out pretty good. At the end of the day,bike riders are in a higher risk category compared to a car driver. Theres a lot bike riders have to be aware of on the roads,if you dont pay attention it can mean life & death,you cant just switch off & ride to work like some people do in their cars. There are advantages & disadvantages to everything.
