Hi GCM I would also like regular meets in Perth to get to know people, have auctions and invite new stackers into the fold. I have tried on 2 occasions to organise meetings and both times I have been bitterly disappointed with the local indifference and apathy. Prado Eagle did warn me but I was determined to try. The first meeting that was set up with an interview with Kerry Lutz and an auction. This attracted a grand total of 13 people (including myself) which did not cover the cost of the venue. The last Webinar meeting (last Saturday) entailed walking from your bed to your home PC (4 months notice). This was free. Even this was too much trouble for our SS members and from the whole of Australia we got 11 viewers. I wrote and sent out PM's to over 600 SS members including all the site sponsors. We had 1 Site Sponsor join in. I am more than happy to join in your meetings but I think I should warn you of what you are up against.
I am positive we can achieve this. I have a small number of Chip's supporter. Currently, have small number about 4-6 members that occasionally meet out. Since the last/first meet out; it is possible. Thanks Ronnie. We sure can as the numbers are building up.
I think a good start will be at the PM with the release of the horses. Always a good time for a meeting and an auction after. GCM send a note to GP.
