I've seen AGR branded bars delivered from Perth.

So they must be in existence. No one has a photo of one?

I have a rather old 1oz Perth Mint Bar

I know its a pretty bad photo but if people are interested I can try and grab a better one.

I found this old thread talking about them, http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-34162-old-1-oz-silver-perth-mint-cast-ingot-value.html Can someone fill me in on what they are worth? I know they have a premium but I'm not sure how much.

I Think the Serial Number is rather low at #349.

Bar is in amazing condition, I don't think it has ever been taken out of this bag other then me taking these photos...

Nice. Are they 400 or 1000 each?

After some googling and a misleading ebay auction I have found out a little info that suggests a link between golden west refinery and perth mint. The eBay auction I saw said they became perth mint which I don't think is right. Did they merge or something of the like?

I saw a golden west bar for sale locally the other day, would it necisarily be old if they are refining thrivin through/with perth mint now?

You got me. Very helpful though, thanks. Now I have confirmed that they basically have nothing to do with the perth mint directly I'll leave this thread on its way.

    Cheers.

what's the tough date range the one in the middle? I've got the more recent one (with amazing wave patternation) and now one of the middle ones. I'd be curious to know how old it's likely to be. Very nice bar though, I like it even more than the newer ones.

Another quick question, I have a 100oz bar with the computer engraved serial number but unlike others I've seen like that it has "FINE SILVER" engraved on the bottom. Is there any significant difference in dates for the serialised bars with the fine silver making? it's the first I've seen like that.

2 questions re: the type "F" bar (vertical loaf, small logo, no serial) in the 10-oz version..

    - Which years/decades were these produced?

    - Hypothetically speaking, would it be considered sacrilege to give one of these a quick "dip" if the owner didn't like the particular toning of one?

    Thanks!

I wonder why the Perth Mint bars don't say Fine Silver on them. Does anybody know?
