I believe that starting tomorrow (Sept 13th) pre-orders become available for the Perth Mint's 2022 Lunar Tiger silver coins. Every year I buy a few of this series coin for myself and kids. The Perth Mint makes very beautifully designed/high quality stuff and the lunar series has always been my favorite. However after looking at the 2022 Tiger design image I can't help but feel somewhat under whelmed by the Tiger design this year. Don't get me wrong it's not horrible by any means but it feels like a bit of a step backward when compared to Perth's 2010 Tiger design. The 2019 Mouse & 2020 Ox coins both looked just as good if not better than the 2008 Mouse & 2009 Ox to me... I certainly still plan on buying a few 2022 Tigers but I'm curious how other feel about the new Tiger design? Obviously something like this is pure opinion but do you think Perth's Lunar Series coin designers did better, worse, or matched the previous design? *Note: The gold version of the 2022 Tiger design is certainly better than the 2010 version in my opinion.
