    Hi All,
Been away from the site for a little while now but happy to be back.
I have a 2004 Penfolds Grange that I bought back in 2004 when it was released and was thinking of trying to sell it. Would any members be interested or have an idea of a good platform to sell?. I’m in Perth W.A.
From my online research this year is quite hard to source now. I think they are a great investment to own.

    Cheers

Looks like auction (google Penfolds Grange 2004 and you'll get several links) or private sale to decent privately owned bottle shop / wine merchant unless you find someone who needs it for their collection and may pay closer to retail prices. As you live in Perth, be prepared to be asked how the Grange was stored all those years as Perth mid summer is only a few degrees off what the devil enjoys.

For me, wine is meant to be enjoyed and yeah sure if I'd bought multiple cases as an investment I would treat it as such. If that's your only bot of Grange, I'd tell people you are out of town for the weekend, look the front door, turn the phone off, cook up your fav winter meal or BBQ a quality cut of aged beef and enjoy every magical drop that the bottle of Grange will give you by yourself.

If you do drink it....leave some tasting notes /comments below.

Thanks for your reply and input, much appreciated
Although it would be great to crack it open, circumstances dicate otherwise.
If any member might be keen to acquire this vintage I’m keen to sell at a fair price or perhaps do a trade.
    Thanks again!

One hurdle will be trying to convince potential buyers that it has been cellared optimally. You may have to offer some info or assurances regarding that.

On that very point, Penfolds run...well used to until Covid hit, clinic's where Grange owners could take their bot/s of Grange along, have it opened, inspected..plus wee taste, then topped up with current vintage, re-corked and capped then date stamped if still good etc. For older vintages, it gave a better level of certainty that the wine inside was still good.

    https://www.penfolds.com/en-au/events/recorking-clinics.html

Worth keeping an eye on the Penfolds web site for when they start this up again.

Cheers for the Info guys. I have also reached out to a couple of online wine auction houses to see their interest.

So out of interest is this the thread section I would potentially list a bottle of grange for sale or trade?.
I have also had some interest outside of mentioning it on here but mainly in a low balling capacity. Thought I would try list it here to see if any members are interested in a possible trade with Au or Fiat purchase. on a side note, can anyone point me in the right direction as to how I can upload photos under 1mb format? I have lots to upload from my iPhone of the grange but also possible PM bullion I’m considering to also sell.
It’s been a while and can’t seem to recall how to reduce the allowable size needed to upload?.
    Cheers

    Hi Members,
Bottle of Penfolds Grange BIN 95 2004 is still available due to none reply/change of mind from member.
Prefer f2f (I’m in WA) or can post at cost which is
    Approximately $35.
Asking $580 cash or equivalent in gold bullion. Price below value and very hard to find year/vintage.
    Thanks
