Hey guys, As per mr. shiney, the new set of pandas coming will be: What are these sets worth to you guys? There's a few older sets like 2005 ICBC and so on, all going for around 800-1000 AUD. Would you pay that much? These are usually sets with 1/4oz Gold and 1oz Silver in a wooden box with COA. They have usually very low mintages (like 2-30k). Just trying to look for a ballpark valuation of these coin sets.
I wouldnt pay more than $750-800 for the 2005 ICBC. So for a 10th anniversary of Shanghai Gold Exchange no more than $580-620.
Thanks Peter. A lot of these sets don't move at all on eBay, quite hard to check prices and pricepedia lists them as 'blank'. I purchased a set at around $800 just for fun, will see how it goes in the long run heh Might've been a bit overpriced but oh well haha.
Actually fishball, scratch that $580-$620, if you did get the 10th Anv you are right on the money. Well done you got yourself a good price.
Nah...another set, not the ICBC one though. I don't see the point of the bank sets. It's something else haha
Actually don't think the 10th anniversary Shanghai set is even out yet. I just used that as an example from mr. shiney's post.
I actually thought you meant the new set. But then rememberd that a 10th Anv bank of Shanghai set came out in 2005. Who said this Panda collecting can be confusing?
Oh you're right, there is a set of Shanghai Bank and one of Shanghai Gold Exchange. Confusion!!!!!!!!! Beautiful sets though, I hear the wooden box is massively heavy.
Too many to pick from, the ICBC banks are the major one. Then there's Bank of Shanghai, Agricultural Bank, Bank of Communications...ugh. Lemme know if you do buy one I want pics haha
Anyway since I took these pics already for the auction, here they are  [imgz=http://forums.silverstackers.com/uploads/1463_img_3503_resized.jpg][/imgz] [imgz=http://forums.silverstackers.com/uploads/1463_img_3507_resized.jpg][/imgz]
