So uhh, did anyone else see that? Last trade in Friday was around $1.30. Opened today at $13.30. Did someone forget to carry the 0 or something? What happened over the weekend to cause this stock to shoot up 80%

My god, if only this stockwatch game were real!! :D

I'm kinda new to the stock market and am unfamiliar with this term. Care to elaborate?

If you had 1000 shares of OZL last week, today you have only 100 shares, basically 10 shares become 1 share and that's why the price is also x10 today. 1.30x10=13.00, the extra 30 cents is today's actual price rise.

The opposite is known as 'Split' where your existing shares are split into more units of lower value.

Waking to an unexpected 1:10 split is nearly enough to trigger a cardic arrest!
