    all they would need to do is plant a rumour that China are going to massively scale back buying our mineral exports, even if it wasn't true it would knock a few cents off in a matter of a half hour

    Thats True Blockhead, but I guess all fears of that are over once the AUD is over 120????????


    Lets get past this notion that Australia would admit to currency manipulation. The US denies it while printing trillions all the while accusing China of doing it. If the RBA simply colluded with the government to pass a law that say no more than 5% of bank liabilities could come from offshore to "insulate" against counter party risk then the short term solution would be for the RBA to buy up all of that debt down to the 5% mark. Done deal.

    I dont think it will stay this high, if commodities get sold off you would expect the aussie dollar to get sold off, this will happen in a recession so my opinion is its a good time to by pms and go on holidays... Thailand here i come!! woo
