    Hi

This is the first Panda I have ever bought, and since I got it from a dealer at a stall at the Eumundi Markets, I have never been sure of it.

It just seems a heavier less delicate type of coin that the Perth Mint ones.

It came in a plastic slab like the early Kookaburras and since it has a few scratches I suspect it's not the original container.

What do you think? Have I been had?

    Thanks for the help

It is hard to tell from a photo like that. Especially when it looks gold on my screen. I am going to assume it looks silver in real life.

Since it is out of the capsule, just weigh and measure it, and it will give you a pretty good idea of which metal it is made from. It should be 31.1g and 40mm across, I am on the road so I dont have a thickness reference.

As for value, judging by its condition, even if it is silver, it would not be worth much more than melt. Genuine and double sealed it would be around $120.
