Has anyone got their coin that ordered through PandaAmerica?

I ordered the 5oz silver panda, paid via wire transfer but have not heard anything since. Tried to email them with no response. Just want to know when I can expect the coin.

 

They screw up big time on this 5oz medal that's all I can say.

 

As others have mentioned, the Singapore International Coin Fair was an active, fun show. Everyone, both collectors and dealers, that I talked to was very, very pleased with the event. It looks like in just two years the Singapore Coin Fair has become one of the major shows on the international coin show circuit. I suspect that many dealers who weren't here will have booths in 2013. I certainly heard regrets from several who didn't make it here this year. The show really had everything you could ask for including lots of coins, lots of visitors, lots of excellent dealers, lots of coins trading hands, and even lots of good food.

Thanks to all the Silver Stackers who came over to chat with me at my booth. It was great to meet and talk with you. I look forward to continuing our conversations next year.

Haven't heard anything back from them either....

 

I thought I read somewhere that they would not be sent till after the coin show. So expect them 10 to 14 days after the show ended that makes it about the end of next week we should be seeing the coins.
Question who going to send theirs back to the states for grading?

 

I will grade my 2 x 1 oz and 2 x 5 oz silver (ncs and ngc) thanks to a friends kindness.

Guys about the Singapore Panda medals ... I called Panda America a few days ago and spoke to Vince as Will and a few others were out at the Expo and he assured me that medals would ship within 10 to 14 days.

I'm sure they all have to get back from the show and sort out all of the orders ... rest assured that we will all get out stuff

Oh yea and I'm curious ... I keep hearing that Chinese do not like graded coins but it seems every time I see pics from a coin expo/show there are more graded coins than OMP?

Also I noticed that all of the graded coins dogged the OMP/raw coins in the Stacks Bower auction a day ago

I know that personally I would not buy many of these high value coins in OMP ... Of course silver pandas I would but anything else would most likely be graded ... thats just me.

That's not completely accurate. I was surprised to see that one OMP coin outsold a 69. Also, 67s, and even 68s can sell for less than the OMP price at times.
Generally speaking, though, coins graded 69 or 70 brought very good prices.

Personally, when I take pictures of showcases I tend to shoot graded coins because it is easier to see what the coins are. That probably gives the impression that everything is graded, but it's more a reflection of my own taste than reality.

Thanks for clearing that up Peter ... maybe it's just that I paid more attention to the graded coins but it did appear that overall they did outperform the OMP/raw coins in auction.

In any case the Singapore Panda is an awesome medal and I'm sure many are happy to see it is "official" but I did not care either way, it is simply a beautiful coin for any collection !

yes yes ... Hopefully I can make the show next year ... that would be very cool for sure !

Right now I'm settling for a week trip to the beautiful white sandy beaches of Florida for some fun in the sun with wifey and Tinky but my battle cry is Next Year Singapore !

Another thing is I did not believe for one minute that any "joe blow" could just run out and contract one of the Chinese Mints to produce Panda coins for them as was alluded to earlier ... easier said than done !!!

 

Has anyone got any confirmation when these coins are supposed to be mailed out? I preordered five of them, and really got no info other than my card being charged.

 

Next week.

They shipped to Singapore then have to be shipped back to USA where they'll be dispatched from there.
