It's a mandate to print. Romney had threatened to ditch Bernanke. In one sense, it was a referendum on monetary policy and the money printers won.

But as Jim Sinclair said, if they don't continue to print the collapse will come very quickly.

And wasn't it the Mogambo Guru that said "we are all freakin' doomed!!!!!!"

My facebook status from earlier today was this:

Could I remotely give a toss. No. Don't see what the great pissing contest is about who's going to be at the helm as the ship continues its locked-in course towards the iceberg...

This scene from the guard makes me laugh every time I hear Obama's name...

EDIT: Yep.... watched it at least 10 times today, makes me giggle every time! :D

For me the disappointment was back in January. When Ron Paul lost those first couple of primaries I knew it was over and I was resigned at that point to getting just another one of them in. So, by the time the election rolled around I was way past caring.

In hindsight, I am glad RP didn't get in though. I think in the long run it will be for the best, maybe not in the short term, although that is debatable.

Why do I care about the US? Because Australia pretty much follows the US like a lost little puppy. Change will happen in the US before it happens here.

Funny how the day after the election is when the MSM starts talking about "oh yeah, by the way the economy is absolutely screwed in January".

I didn't follow this crap right from the start and instead did my best to avoid the incessant "noise" on "our" airwaves about "their" election.

Ron Paul never stood a chance in the first place. He was "hope" for the hopeless but in effect, an impossible to buy piece of window dressing.

The other two are just snake oil salesman for the same company (brand USA).

The entire election coverage is not meant only for USA domestic production. The Americans see the world as their playpen, with the future being an American transition from "united states of America" to "United nations of the world" all controlled/packaged by the USA of the future. Promotion of the US elections and US issues around the globe is part of the plan to have people across the globe just as interested (and aware) in the Imperial Powers issues as they are about their own tinpot nations issues. Take Australia as case in point.

Just listening to SAFM radio the female host said "how great Obama is. Even though he didn't stick to all his promises, he is a really nice guy and a family man who really loves his wife"

Yeah, the MSM has spent the last few months regurgitating BS on recovery and the morning after they carry on like the 'fiscal cliff' has been the leading narrative throughout the entire election.

Shiney, I wish you would stop thanking posts that I also want to thank. This implicit agreement on issues makes it hard for me to disagree with you.................

    Bingo!

It's a numbers game now. It would be like racing Bathurst and giving the wheel over to the last place driver on the last 4 laps of the race - then blaming them for not winning.

Obama has been at the head of this sinking ship for a long time now and the path to destruction can't be laid at the feet of anyone else for the public to realistically swallow it.

When the people finally lose it, they'll go after the socialists like Obama for selling them out.

It might be the straw that finally breaks the camels' back when the illusion is replaced by cold, hard reality and I want to see the Keynesian & socialist movement be held accountable for the global financial disaster it's brought to the people - and who supported and endorsed it.

The reason WHY this crap has gone on for so long is because the public has been placated with scraps of the table of the market manipulators.

When those scraps disappear, they'll stop buying the BS and want answers.

300 million angry people - with guns - will want answers.

No wonder the bastards are building bunkers... they know what's going to happen.

Obama is a millionaire despite having communists for a mother/grandparents and never having a job in a company that actually produces anything. How does one gain so much wealth?

And after criticising 'Wall St' before elected he went on to employ Goldman Sach executives as his advisors.

Man of the people? He's a sham.
