Just wondering what might happen in NK this weekend? As I have said before I personally don't like the US playing policeman around the world.

I have a feeling that Kim will test a nuke or whatever he is not supposed to do, because he has done that all along with no repercussions.

Hopefully there will be no "attacks" on NK but if I had to bet $$$ I would bet that Kim goes ahead and tests a nuke and then something after that will happen to them. What that "something" is I don't know.

War or not, it just depends will and can North Korea use it Nukes as a weapon.

If they have the ability to load the nuclear bomb on a missile, tens of millions will die as Seoul is only 40km away and minutes by a slow missile.

They have artillery that can hit Seoul, so even if they didn't use nuclear 100,000 or more

Not all, as we are one of the few countries that behave like a indentured colony of USA . Many countries that don't follow America into war. Even more silly is that we pay our on way to war, but I guess that's what slaves do, as slaves we don't expect to get paid.

At least we know NK have Nuclear weapons unlike Iraq.

I think alot of people are missing the point of using the moab. North Korea's military infrastructure is mostly secured in bunkers designed to withstand normal bombing and still respond, eg the artillery that is aimed at south Korea. However the moab can now render north Korea's military infrastructure unable to respond without the use of nuclear, biological or chemical warfare. This has the north worried as their current defense strategy is based around the fact the US can't engage in these types of warfare on a 1st strike basis and that they could not stomach the civilian deaths caused by a north Korea retaliatory strike with known conventional weapons. Hence why it is stepping up its nuclear rhetoric in the hopes that the west believes it has nuclear weapons capacity

Sure bombs like MOAB could knock out both NK nuclear facility and if they have a nuclear warheads launched from a silo.

As for MOAB being a game changer doubt this very much, as most of the the artillery and scuds that they have are mobile, plus the harden bunkers are spaced out over the 250Km DMZ. Its not hard to see, you can go and look at it as tourist, like I have.

If North Korea is willing to use Nuclear weapons on South Korea (even if they dont have it), and NK strike will be Artillery Barage at first instance.

NK doesn't need to use high tech weapons, Seoul is within range of range of 170-mm self-propelled guns, 240-mm multiple rocket launchers or 300-mm multiple rocket launchers, depending on their position on the North Korean side of the DMZ.

Furthermore though NK leadership seems deluded, they are not stupid, if they go to War it will be first strike or immediate reactive strike.

Below is Seoul after the first Barrage of Artillery during the Civil War.

SK can never sign her own death warrant, so we can only wait and see.

the nukes launch does take less than few hours, NK does not have many of them either, but their first target are US bases, the SK presidential palace, then the big cities near by.

Mobile artillery can be targeted with patriot missiles and air strikes. It is the stationary stuff in hardened bunkers that is the problem. This bomb can fill the gap in a neutralization strategy involving air and navy force's in a pre-emptive strike

if you are right about THAAD effectiveness, why are Japan and SK crying foul of NK nuclear testing, they are protected anyway. double protected with US armada.
It is mad to provoke that can not happen. let the NK keep on with their tests, its a free world do what they like. since both SK and Japan can't do a thing about it.
    Sanctions are not working

Five reasons why the US cannot attack North Korea like it did Syria

    1. Why can’t the US attack North Korea like it did Syria?
    2. What are the most important differences between North Korea and Syria?
    3. Why must China stand by North Korea if it is attacked by the US?
    4. Why does China insist on a peaceful resolution and oppose military option floated by the US?
    5. Besides China, which other countries oppose a military strike against Pyongyang?

In the event the Russians were neither intimidated by the missile strike nor impressed by the bribe. Instead, rather than pulling out of Syria or reducing their support for President Assad, their response was to increase it.

The alternative, however humiliating, would at least teach this inexperienced President and his advisers that the first law of international relations is never to bluff China, because it is a bluff which is always called.
