Nice Mate. That one is the short hair lock type, many thousands of these were minted, and in the long hair lock type it is said they only minted 1000 but this is unconfimed.

The taxman cometh with a big bag but little sympathy.

I therefore have to start selling my collection (ranked number 5 in the world by Ron G) of Norfed Liberty Dollars.

It really hurts but following is a list of the more rare/special items.

    1. Pattern (ANACS slabbed and graded PF69 DCAM) very rare, rumoured to be only 20 minted.
    2. Hawaiian Dalas (Gilded), complete set of 7 but will split.
    3. 2009 Copper Set of Test Patterns (Freedom, Peace, Liberty). ANACS slabbed and graded
    PF 69 DCAM x 2/PF 68 DCAM. Ultra-rare, may be1 of only 3 sets in existence.
    4. Platinum number 27 (less than 100 escaped)
    5. New York Double Date
    6. Copper Specimen
    7. RCO States Hallmark Set (26 pieces plus rare #47 with WI Hallmark, only 20 exist)
    8. Evansville (less than 100 escaped).
    9. Pewter (mintage of 200 or less)
    10. SMI SN Set number 091 (25 pieces - including Michigan with mintage of 250 - plus Texas Double Date
    and Marco Island).
    11. RCO States Hallmark 2008 Set (Naked Backs) 34 pieces
    12. Puerto Rico Torch 2006 #13, scarce
    13. Deep Strike #9
    14. Euro number 61
    15. Check Proof
    16. Piedfort 2ozs
    17. Liberty Set (Ecuador - only 500 minted/Panama/Puerto Rico)
    18. 5 oz $50
    19. $500 Gold Proof Set (number 47)
    20. Various Currency Certificates etc (details on request)

All sensible offers will be considered.

    Peter

You must have a big tax bill, Peter! What you are trying to move on there is worth some big money  ... Have you contacted Ron G as he may be able to move most of that for you?

Hi, yes bigger than you can imagine !!

Any of the pieces listed are up for sale.

Ron is a good call as quite a few of them were sourced via Ron in the first place.

    Cheers

WOW, I kept seeing this Norfed thread & just had to click on it to see what Norfed was all about.
You guys are really serious about your accumulation of P.M's.
I'm basically a G & S bullion Stacker this way (wanting more bang for the buck). To each their own, GOOD LUCK. _JLG.

I had problems with my laptop and couldn't log in to this site because I couldn't remember my password.
Yesterday, I saw something on ebay and reminded me to go back here.
Just wondering if you already sold off the items you posted here.

    Hi

    Thanks for your enquiry.

From the list, items numbered 1, 2 and 4 have been sold. The rest are still available.

With the fall in sterling, I can offer very competitive prices in dollars.

    Hope to hear from you.

    Peter

Some store in Cincinnati got a hold of 20 of them a while back. I googled the "commoncentscoinscincinnati" name for businesses and their offer was 100 over paypal which is ridiculously cheap which is understandable for them having gotten a good amount of them.

Nothing more interesting for a numismatist than money made out of silver. I once talked to Ron, the LD encyclopedia guy who posted above over the phone once. He said his attitude toward having learned about Liberty Dollar was, "oh wow they are making real money made out of silver again," which is my sentiment exactly. Numismatics as a hobby appears in NGC/PCGS prices to have dropped off a cliff in the past 2 years, I feel like the lack of real value might be a factor for the new generation.. plus there is a bit of an glut of people trying to offload their investments? I don't know.

This stuff has been pretty generous to me. Always appreciated it. I'm going to be reaching out to Peter for what he's got.

The rarest thing I have had in my hands was a Royal Hawaiian Mint 1976 Shelter Dollar that a trinket "good for one drink" token seller in Chicago listed for auction. Bernard's friend Telle said that they were not the mintmasters they are today and that mintage on this piece was "a few." Premium-over-spot tends to be the way I think of these things so given that the token was 21mm the guy who was a few counties away who I sold it to probably got a pretty good deal.
