Just need some advice. Bought a coin from another SS member on this site and it's been a couple of months now and still haven't received anything. I paid for the item on the 26th of July and he said he will post the item soon. Below is the last reply from him dated the 12th of August Hey, I'm sorry for the lack of communications. I've been traveling a bit, just got back home. I'll take care of this, but I have a few ebay sales ending soon, which I'll have everything ship out at the same time. --- ok thanks i'm happy to wait but if you think its too much of a hassle then i'm also happy with a refund thanks --- No hassle here. I'd like to follow through with my words. I'll have it sent out to your soon. Again, I apologize for my disappearance. ---- Now he seems like a nice guy and I also don't want to shame a fellow member but but this is getting ridiculous. Haven't received any more recent reply than that. I bought it through paypal so I guess I can put a dispute in. Any advice from the admins? Cheers
Send a PM to the seller pointing to this thread. Get an agreed date for posting your item(s), if it's not posted by that date (with proof of posting/tracking number) open a Paypal dispute.
sounds like your not really bothered by his lack of performance, regardless of the size of the transaction - why aren't you naming him and sharing you experience on this forum as a warning to other members, its not as if you are defaming him he is behaving like a thief or at least recklessly. Also you need to check out I think paypal has time restrictions, if the transaction has gone over the time allowed it becomes stale and you may not be able to lodge a complaint.
I think that paypal has 3months. Be aware of that if it does not get sent soon. Demand it be sent now. There is no excuse. If a purchase is made then the postage should occur within a few days of confirmation of the money. If the seller has a busy time coming up and doesn't have time to get to the sale then it shouldn't be listed. No excuses.
if this transaction between u and him(no official website involved) than there is no paypal protection as far as I know. u have waited too long to act.if seller has time to post an ad here he should fine the time to post yr item within a reasonable time frame.3 months is not reasonable...
yup, looked on paypal and only had 45 days to lodge a claim..i've sent him another message and if nothing happens in 7 days, his name goes up here for all to see..
coincidentally, still no reply from him, package arrived today. thanks for all your advice guys. appreciate it.
