Hi All Long time reader first time poster. A bit of an intro. I'm an accountant from Perth (have seen some interesting stuff in your SMSF thread but that's another topic). At this stage I'm probably more of a *gulp* collector than a stacker. I inherited some old coins from my grandfather a few months ago and during my vast research in trying to find a value for them I caught a bit of coin bug that I can't get rid of. I came across this site in many google searches and have got some great information so thought it was about time to join in and say hello. My ultimate goal would be to assemble a full Perth Mint Sovereign collection. At the moment I have acquired almost all of the most recent issues (1999 bi-metal and 2005 commemoratives and 2009 full sovereign) and was hoping I might get some help with 2010 and 2011 from around here? I have also decided to go for the series 2 lunar 1 oz silver (I'm collecting Proof's but as I said before - more of a collector than a stacker). As time goes buy and the more I read I am being persuaded to get some bullion among my collection and might see if I can get a whole set of 2 or 5oz lunar bullion as well as my budget allows. Barring the end of the world in a few hours I'll see you all around.
Hey elemental i think your too late even if you ordered them all today they wont arrive before tomorrows big ending so its been nice to meet you
Thanks for all the welcomes. I'm still finding my way around a little so unsure of where to pose this questions but I am unable to add a signature to my profile. Can anyone help me out? Is there a post limit I must get to or something? Cheers
G'day Elemental If you are collecting series II lunar get the display case In fact just buy everything at this link http://www.perthmint.com.au/catalogue/australian-lunar-gilded-edition-12-year-collection-case.aspx I'm building a gilded and a bullion collection
No worries at all. I had (what I thought) was a funny one and didn't want to forget it. "Paper has value - I saw a ream of Reflex go for $6 yesterday" anyway. . . . . @ nugget - I've got the display case on order. Mint was sold out of proof version coins. The proof tiger was especially hard to find and I paid quite the premium. Should have come here first and asked around. How much could I get the proof tiger for anyway?
