Hello all, We now have an additional pricing data source, in this site. It's by subscription, like the Pricepedia. It is formatted totally different than PP, so it shouldn't be in competition with PP either. It covers ALL modern chinese coinage. It's just the popularity of our bruins, that had them decide to use the Panda name. It's called, http://www.pandaanalytics.com/searchdb.html I'm sure both collectors, and dealers, will enjoy the site. There are also Lunars data, if maybe yennus could pin it up for the Lunar people. Thanks ya'll. ~wyldkatt~
Hahah... sweet... they got a really good section on the 1995 Pandas "The "micro-date" is the rarest and most valuable." Someone grabbed a bargain last Sunday http://www.pandaanalytics.com/index.html?cb=help
Sorry yennus, like the Pricepedia, the sales data is by subscription only. I think it is $19.97USD monthly, or it's like $197.00USD annually. Quite fair, given all that they provide. ~wyld~
Website looks cool. It's just that it kinda rubs me the wrong way how you advertise this site when you only have a few posts in your belt. Please don't take this the wrong way, just gets kinda annoying when someone new advertises a "pay for site" out of the blue. Peter and Yennus is plenty for me to get my Panda information without having to pay more out of my Poor Poopy Panda Pockets, hee hee Also, I do apologize in case you are well known around here nd just willing to share the info. But please understand my stance.
What is it that they provide? $20 US a month seems a bit rich to subscribe to only "sales data" I can find on eBay in 5 seconds. Noticed you also posted this on CCF, are you by any chance the owner of the website? The prices aren't even up on the website.
I'd like a demo of the site before subscribing.. agree with silverlover, probably have enough Panda ammo to be fair. Would be interested in an alert for new coins listed possibly, I like that idea if it was customisable etc> but really I'm always checking ebay, not many get passed me!
I'll take on my team: Yennus, aka Panda guru, with up to date inside pricing, knowledge and experience Fishball and his price guide/knowledge Tamo with his general awesome Panda wisdom And there is the Supreme Master....Peter with ALL that is Panda related Less than $15/month and overload of the best gurus in Panda Vs $20/month for a second hand price guide Again, don't mean disrespect, but I'm more than satisfied at the moment
You are a young Jedi surrounded by Masters, but you are still a very talented young Jedi nevertheless (btw, I'm not that big of a fan of star wars but this analogy just popped in my head for some strange reason) Haaaaa
Emporer Badon, LOL! I'm a bit of a knucklehead myself but I have some brass and an edge. Ill be that guy whoever Harrison Ford was playing.
I realize the point of the one poster being upset about a new member posting a "paid service" while not being a regular poster here at this site but I do know wyldkat from CCF and I think he is a straight up guy with no ill intentions or motives. I also agree with others that although this is a nice new service, it is also a little pricey considering the free information disseminated at SS, CCF & LBC along with Peters Pricepedia. No offense but if it was like maybe $5 a month I may consider and please take no offense at the validity or value of this new service by that statement, it is just about all it would be worth to me considering what I get for free now. Maybe my position will change at some point in the future. I do believe it is good for people to post information such as this new site in order to apprise us all of what else may be available. Then we can make a decision if we would like to spend our money on it or save our money for other Chinese Coin Investments. I see no problem with free enterprise This is my opinion and it is not meant to be condescending to any other member or poster, I'm just a visitor to this forum from another country as are many others so I maybe do not have the right to say if this was unethical or not but I feel it is not. I think encouragement to post anything related to pandas here on this forum increases knowledge, participation and enthusiasm for our hobby I view it as healthy and beneficial for us all.
Forget comparisons to other sites or services. it's good for all Panda collectors in that it opens up another avenue of both info and publicity. I know the more people who collect the more I'll have to pay for coins, but I'm not greedy, I say the more the merrier. Btw, I was considering collecting unicorns soon. Any pitfalls? I think they look super cool, especially the eastern unicorn, plus they're not really that expensive considering their mintage. Appreciate any opinions on Unis
