Yes, those are definitely photos. Contrary to what AgAuNews has stated, the images in the initial post are clearly not photos. AgAuNews, I suppose, was told by some source that they are, but clearly they look like coin illustrations generated by a computer.

Could I be wrong? Yes, but I don't think so.....the illustrations are excellent but my trained eye can spot the differences quite easily.

The photos of the coin show that the coin is stunning...perhaps one of the best looking coins in the series thus far. If I had the money, I'd buy both sizes....I can not even afford the 2 oz size at this time so unfortunately I will have to pass.

Ok, just to clear things up in one statement let me say this. Those are photos. Images of the actual coins, properly taken by photographers who know their stuff. They universally provide us with amongst the best coin images in the business. They're also one of the few who will photograph a coin in an small environment instead of just a face-on coin image. The difference between these and others is the quality of the lighting, it's absolutely first class and the reason for the ultra-clean look.

I'm always making digs at mints on the site for the poor quality of many official images (I literally can't put into words how bad some are), so I feel obligated to defend somebody giving us images that let us make up our own mind about the quality of their product. As a photographer of over 35 years (not a great one I admit), I too can spot a photograph and these are absolutely that. Outside of a capsule and well lit, the coin looks like that, 100%. Just to show the work involved, below is an image of CIT's photo studio. That's not an iPhone on the clamp...

If it's any consolation, I thought the 2oz coin the more impressive as the definition and level of relief is extraordinary for a coin of that size.

These coins do not disappoint once in hand. I really like them better than most anything out there. Now, whether they will be a good investment going forward is quite another matter but in the past they consistently increased in value.

So far the 2013 was the best design I reckon.

The price tag is high but it worth the money. The finishing and the design are excellent as my personal view

Considering that these coins are keeping and increasing the value even after a decade, in my opinion these are best modern coins for investment!

The 2016 kilo is a work of art, same with the 2oz. The packaging is also first class. The Kilo comes in an aluminum case and the stand is magnetic allowing you to display the coin in its stand on the case.
Also, just compare side by side the 2015 with the 2016 and tell me you don't see a difference. The relief is enhanced dramatically by the smartminting process used in 2016. Being the first Tiffany using smartminting these will be great investments IMHO.

It'd be interesting to see the difference, can't tell much from the official photo but I believe the actual coin will look different.

Shipment on the way. Whether that's 1 or 100 coins, I'm not sure, but apparently it's happening.
