The Second Edition of the "Standard Catalog of Chinese Circulating Coins" by Sun, Keqin has been released with a partial English translation. This new edition of the Standard Catalog of Chinese Circulating coins may turn out to be a numismatic milestone - no exaggeration. The addition of English to the book will open a major new field to Western collectors. Mr. Sun's book is the best source I know for information on Chinese circulating coins, many of which have become valuable. My understanding is that Mr. Sun will have at most 40 copies available to the public at the Long Beach coin show September 17-19. I don't expect that supply to last long so plan accordingly.
