New member, looking for ID of a large silver round

    acetone works too. Zero effect on metals, but will breakdown oil and fingerprints

    Well with a round that size you can start chucking it at people and have it stand for "Crowd Control" xD

    I would love a Niton gun, but in NO way shape or form can justify $20k+ for the level of PMs I deal with :(

    The CC stands for Continental Coin, I believe. If that is your manufacturer, they also made some of the "silver trade unit" coins that were made with silver melted from the strategic stockpile once owned by the US gov and sold into the market. They made those coins in 1981 or so. Here is a photo of one and shows the cc mintmark on the reverse. Here is a company that currently goes by Continental Coin, but I don't know if they are the same company that made the coins in 1981 or possibly your coin as well.

    Yes, CC stands for Carson City when it is a US Morgan silver dollar minted in the 1800s. Not a .999 private minted round minted in the 1990s.
