The CC stands for Continental Coin, I believe. If that is your manufacturer, they also made some of the "silver trade unit" coins that were made with silver melted from the strategic stockpile once owned by the US gov and sold into the market. They made those coins in 1981 or so. Here is a photo of one and shows the cc mintmark on the reverse.
