Hi All, Bit of a newbie and plenty I have to learn. I started buy silver a little while ago and got hooked. Looking through the forum I have already come upon lots of useful info and am impressed with the quality of the forum. I figure I have to join, and learn all I can! I'm interested mostly in silver and purely for the value of it per oz, not really the Numismatics of it all (knowledge is non-existant) I have a small collection of random stuff - Buffalo rounds, Scottsdale bars, Aussie shillings and random junk world coins with a bit of silver in them. Looking forward to learning about them and precious metals from all of you. Cheers Dan
Welcome dandan. When you first begin, just buy silver for silver's sake. As you progress, numismatics can form part of your portfolio. (Close your eyes and imagine shiney! waving his fingers mystically in the air) (And wearing a brown sack like raiment) You will come across to the dark side. You will buy numismatics. You will lust after pandas.
hee hee i'm agreeing with Shiny. Your statements are exactly what my intentions were.... STAY STRONG! Welcome
mmm....shiney! - Checking the time of your post.... I cracked 14 mins beforehand. I bought some 1oz 2011 silver panda's lol. im done for.... Also thanks for the welcomes people
I would stop to give you a proper welcome but it is Dragon day tomorrow and I have to get to sleep early so I can be wide awake when I don't manage to get any from the Perth Mint. I will however come back tomorrow to give you a decent welcome...after I post about how lousy the Perth Mint is and how over-rated the dragons are anyway.
