Unfortunately for the mammoth medal and the reason I didn't pick one up (yet?), is that the ultra high relief is only on one side. The Great Wall medal you mention has ultra high relief on both sides.

This Great Wall medal set has relief that blows me away and is superior to the mammoth in my view.... http://forums.silverstackers.com/to...silver-isn-t-the-only-composition-page-1.html

The ultra-mega-max-high relief medal is out already....just take a look at that 2-part Great wall medal; the 2 medals in this set are designed to fit snugly together making one awesome ultra-mega-max-high relief medal :): http://forums.silverstackers.com/to...silver-isn-t-the-only-composition-page-1.html

From what I recall from yesterday, only 4 of the 90mm have been graded so far.

You wouldn't be able to tell by the photos out there, but the fossil side of the Mammoth is actually incused (recessed) -- and is surprisingly deeper than one is led to believe due to the 2D nature of photos.

From high point to low point, I'd say it's a greater distance than the "high-relief" Privateer round (which I also own). Not saying much, considering.. But still. :D

And yeah, I hear you.. Nice to have some real relief on both sides. But honestly, if that were the case, then it simply wouldn't fit in a standard fatty slab! You'd have to put it in a kilo-sized, which would look a wee bit silly at just 40mm diameter.

In this case, I don't see it as the mint "cheaping-out" by only really doing one side, given the fact that it's pretty much ground-breaking in this area.. If anybody can find me a greater relief-to-diameter ratio currently out there, I'm all eyes! :)
