Just saw this. If you're like me and hate the "last edited by..." on your post, looks like you can just delete it and start again :D

Fantastic for people like me who suffer from "ENTER now, think later" syndrome.

Could this be used to delete auction bids without leaving a trace?

Hopefully it isnt used as a cover for bidders remorse then (auctions or buzzes).

Probably shouldn't be allowed to delete posts in the sales forum for transparency purposes. Could also lead to ghost bids on an auction to drive up the price

This sounds like it could be misused by the unscrupulous. :|

Good reason for sellers to monitor their auctions. If you get a bid you really like, a quote solves the problem.

Had a bid edited in auction which led to auction cancellation and much pissedoffness on my (and other bidders) part.

Opening a can of worms here if you dont set some rules GP. Buggered if Im going to start quoting every auction bid. Are you trying to turn us all into Holdfast or Chip?

There's no harm in quoting a winning bid.

But if someone goes and deletes bids during an in-progress auction, there's a fair case to use the feedback mechanism against them if it disrupts the sale.

Paid members (and any member within an hour of posting) have always been able to edit bids if they wanted to be unscrupulous - it has not really been an ongoing issue.
