    Hey all,

    Been snooping around here for some time, trying to learn what I can. Made my first buy today, maybe got fleeced a little on the price but I'm happy with my purchase and now don't feel like I'm going to be left behind. Maybe that's the wrong sentiment but I feel really pleased with myself, I feel as though I've taken back some power.

    I'm the proud new owner of the following:

    1 x 1991 1oz Kookaburra
    1 x 2000 1oz Kookaburra
    1 x 2008 1oz Kookaburra
    1 x 2010 1oz Kookaburra
    1 x 2004 1oz ... Ummm ... one with a kangaroo on it

    Anyway, looking forward to learning some more, hoping to make some new friends, and (of course) secure some wealth for the future.

    nice one :) I made the plunge for the first time recently a while back and was so good to have silver in hand! Now I'm addicted to shiny metal - lol

    Totally understand, I'm hooked already. Gold fever? Pfft, try staring and silver coins for hours.

    My next purchase could be as early as Friday ...

    Can someone tell me, is the last one a 1oz Silver Kangaroo from The Royal Australian Mint? Still have my L plates on.

    It has on it a kangaroo (obviously) in a circle, "one ounce fine silver" at the top and "ONE DOLLAR" at the bottom.

    Oh yeah, and it has the old chook on the back ... you know, the one that was at that wedding with that young balding bloke and the bird with a hot sister.
