Got my bag of orange coins (5) today, would it be better to leave them in the bag or put them into coin holders?
I would keep them in a bag and try to store them where it doesn't move too much. The bag itself has become quite an item (the first one was the 2013 $2 purple, followed by Red and Orange).
than the RAM Mint Roll with RAM printed on the paper roll? Probably not, but 5 coin bag gives a wider target audience in term of affordability. Saying that, I have seen video/photo people buying hundreds of them...but its ok...there is bounds to be people missing out and they will try to get into the action later on. The 2012 Poppy coloured card that available from RSL for $10 is not performing well, maybe because everybody can easily go to RSL? At the moment I think the general population has no idea that the little bag can be bought at RAM for face value (albeit $10 postage). "The Fear of Missing Out" is the name of the game nowadays...
Had fun at the mint this evening. They were having a changeover ceremony tonight and were letting people trade straight across for the orange and red $2 coin and a $1 coin. I was too late for the $1 coin, but had some success getting some $2 coins... [imgz=http://forums.silverstackers.com/uploads/16111_2015-11-02_213009.jpg][/imgz]
You had to make a purchase to do the exchange and they would only allow you to exchange for one package of each type per pass through the line. There was a couple with two kids there who I think probably went through 5-10+ times (e.g. 8 bags each round). It was just myself going through and I ended up with 6 bags of the orange ones and 5 bags of the red. I'll probably post some on the trading forum later this week.
Seeing the two together like that, you can see how much smaller the ring of colour is on the orange remembrance.
