Source: http://agaunews.com/?p=12161 Available in seven sizes of gold and seven of silver, most only as part of sets and as usual, none of them are cheap, but what a superb design. Don't see the point of a 1/40 oz coin, especially in silver, but the smallest coin offered in Britain for almost 950 years. The gold five-ounce is especially nice imo.
I agree, certainly doesnlook like a warrior. This design might even surpass my current favourite being the face in the helmet design (can't remember what its actually called)
Oh wow. That is quite a looker. Definitely better than the 2013 design! And yes, my fav is Still the 2003 helmet design.
I am seeing some 'Pippa Middleton at the Royal Wedding' influences in the design there, well I guess you have to give the public what it really wants. I look forward to the 2015 "Two Naked Britannias Wrestling in Mud' design.
 My first thought too! It was on the news again last night Think it was about the first time she has spoken publicly about the dress. Or some such drivel. Very nice design but too effeminate to look like she belongs on the battlefield. But she certainly does put the 'fine' into 'fine silver'...
No VAT on gold. The premiums are definitely high but the mintages are very low for most. I like the 2003, but this blows it out of the water imo.
It was GBP7,500 but the price changed to GBP6,250 when I login using my account (registered in Singapore). Not that I can afford anyway But seriously the 2014 Britannia is truly stunning
Totally agree. This cannot consider as hefty premium with only 50 mintage. If you feel this as hefty premium, the 5 oz gold panda is sky rocket premium.
why can't they bring out a normal priced bullion coin? I would love a few of those coins but i would have to seriously consider it at a cost of 92.50 pounds. The Britannias are great but the Royal Mint do themselves a disservice if they want them to be popular imo. at least going to 999 is a good move.
If i can't buy a reasonably priced coin then I reckon it's the death star from star wars behind her not her shield. ....sour grapes....
It's 77 pounds for international orders, which is around USD130 exclude shipping charge. Price is definitely on the high side but comparable to modern numis coins offered by Perth Mint/RCM.
The 2013 5oz proof was 450 which is $772. This is a seriously huge premium. 4x the spot price. Is it worth it?
comparing to this photo of Pippa I would have to say yes, looks like she did pose for the coins Engravers
