Hi folks. If anyone has some information on the goldcoin in the picture below, I would really appreciate that info It's supposedly 21 k but that's all I know. Cheers.
Hello Kookaburra, all i can see is the double headed eagle. I have the Krause catalog with me, if you can either post another photo ( dont angle the coin) or you can write the letters on the coin and i should be able to identify it.
Hi. Unfortunately, that's the only picture I've got . The picture is taken from an online auction catalog. Cheers.
its 1 or 4 ducats depending on size i think i can make out the letter "gal" and "ili", i remmeber ili stands for iliria
Looks like a one ducat, but from the 1800s, not a 1915 restrike. I'm guessing one, not four, based on the relative thickness to diameter - the four ducat would look a lot thinner side on. You can make out "GAL LOD ILL A A 1848" on one side - the 1915 restrike has "LOD ILL REX A A 1915", and "HVNGAR BOHEM GAL" the other. This is probably it: Source: http://www.worldwide-numismatics.com/page Austria 1.htm
