For me the 1992 date on both gold and silver pandas is the most difficult by far to distinguish. My opinion is that this is a large date ...
good luck with the grading JC8's, the coin looks pretty sweet, although its out of OMP? Really like how the gold looks in those white slabs... I've got a couple of these '92 1/10s, will check the dates tomorrow to compare.
Here is a pic of the bear side,Yes mr grizzlies ,not omp but I paid 200 usd for the coin ,so I took a shot, pictures pretty high res ,anyway here it is
jc888 ... Here is a comparison of your G10Y 1992 and another NGC "small date" I would almost guarantee that yours is the large date which seems to be the more elusive of the G10Y 1992 Gold Pandas Again my typical disclaimer applies ... I'm not an expert and express no guarantees ... just a lowly collector struggling through life
I say this not only because of the NGC Census but from what I see ... you very rarely (if ever) see the G10Y 1992 "Large Date" for sale but see quite a few "small dates"
Sorry for the delay in responding... it's been raining heaps in Shanghai, which has been keeping me busy with house repairs. I'd go with Comeaux's opinion
