Hey guys, around 2 years ago I started buying stocks, put around $5000 into it and started of buying PEN, I bought in at 4c at the start, and bought more once it hit 10c (not the best idea). Once the Japan Earthquakes came, the stock dropped like 70% and hasn't moved much since (currently trading at around 3c) I added a little more money when I got advice from someone who had made quite abit of money off stocks to buy SDL at around 54c, now they are at 33.5c. My portfolio is now at around $1700, my question is, should I sell my PEN and SDL stocks and buy something else? Maybe AYN or SLV? I have seen a couple threads about them. My only concern is that both stocks are up around 40% in the last 5 days so will they go straight down from here? I'm still learning about stocks so any help will be appreciated
I bought PEN at 13.x cents (can't remember the exact amount), 1 week before Fukashima earthquake. What are they now, 3c? I have decided to hold PEN because they have a lot of uranium in the ground, the world needs it, and they are nearing permits needed for mining in Wyoming.
I highlighted your problems and for the love of your money DO NOT BUY MORE til you finish your education in stocks as you are suppose to study first then buy.
Perhaps try buying shares in companies that actually make money (as in make a profit). If you treat the market as a casino, you will end up with casino like results - lots of losses with the occasional lucky win. You are talking about dumping one set of spec stocks that have never made a profit to buy another set of spec stocks that have never made a profit. Sorry to be harsh but how much have you learned in the 2 years ?
Good question trew, I haven't touched my stocks in a long time, I kind of lost interest and let them sit there once I'd found bullion, I did do a basic research on the companies I bought into but for the small amount of money I put in, it didn't bother me to much, I was still learning, and still am today
A big, bright, glowing future. I'm positively radiating with joy at the prospects.[/quote] It does. Megatons for Megawatts program will end next year. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peak_uranium
