Fellow stackers , here r two of my favorites coins. First is my first personal finding of roman coin with MD and 2nd is from same place, it was hoard, but i didnt detected it because lack of experience and circumstances, and i was standing on it First one is silver denarius Antonius Pius and second Celts silver tetradrachma, Philip II.
I was on holiday and from last year i am owner of metal detector, so i place visit to roman site, and then it pop up, was also some bronze coin finds but i didnt make picture of them. I am passionate fisherman and hunter for more than 20 years, but this hobby beat it all . They r coins, second one is Celts copy of greek tetradrachma. After successful raid of Delphi in Greece , they turn back and settle down in Serbia and start issuing they owns local currencies , but coin value was same like value of silver in it. In this hoard was 400pcs and value of it is 300eur+. Finding of this kind hoard is not often, but it is still happen every year, so u can compare it to finding of big gold nugget in Australia.
I bought them all, no findings. Usually on polish auction site site called Allegro, but you can find a lot of them (silver Dinarius) on UK/Ireland eBay as well as on VCoins for example
I'd love to get into collecting this type of stuff but China has made it very difficult to do so If they're legit then very nice, wish they were mine.
Fully understand. What I do is I pay one of well recognized professor/historian (University of Wroclaw) to check it for me before I buy anything. There is a list (on eBay) of ancient roman coin dealers; they can guarantee you buy real coin not fake.

Great coins! Most of my colllection contains bullion, but a couple of weeks ago I bought my first ancient greek coins, since then I really enjoy watching all these different ancient coins... Think they're fascinating! These are from the Thessalian League with the head of Zeus. My two coins Source: Source:
There is so many of them so at the moment I am trying to focus on ancient Rome denarius (republic and imperators) only
