Totally agree. However the crap that I saw this Footy Card guy post up on the thread that got deleted was designed to piss people off whilst he got some fun from his sillyness.

I agree that we need to keep civil though we can have a joke .However this guy I suspect wants the each way bet.Dish out but moan when he gets Karma back.( or is that Kawa?)

This is a good forum however there a few dudes here that take themselves WAY too seriously and are a little precious. It's only Silver FFS.

Would be good if SS ban posts beyond 100 words.I'm sure it would assist the Priesthood with their intake.

I'd love to make my own bars, but not sure where to get a good custom "mint" stamp.

Looking at time stamps - he didn't happen to spit the dummy at Maggie recently by any chance?

Yea it is so much fun, I'v been trolling for more Stirling scrap to melt down. Not going to bother trying with 999 its too much effort proving the purity if I want to sell. Just picked up a 220gram plate off trademe under spot so this week I will have a project on. Its fun to make some cool random bars to add to the stack.

He did seem to be irritating a few people. Most of us ease into this forum slowly only, he was full steam ahead and irritating some of the more well respected members. Cant say I'm surprised.

    Couple of questions:

Have you thought of refining the stirling - not hard to do chemically?

Looks like you have a stamp set and punched by hand - correct?

Yip set of stamps and hand punched, I decided I just had to have a go after seeing Basils bar posted on another thread. Bought everything I needed for just under $100 NZD, gas torch, crucible, stamps and some borax. Totally surprised how simple it was. Looked at getting some kind of hallmark stamp made but that's costly.

Definitively looked at the refining process. Doesn't actually seem to difficult, will probably have a go some time this week. I'm really keen to play with nitric acid. Was looking at the fake nuggets for sale on here this week and following up on the videos available to show how these have been made..... see silver is not all about investment and wealth protection. There's also a big educational side and one hell of a fun hobby. Blowtorches, concentrated acid poisonous fumes.... if only they let us play with silver in science class I might have shown more interest in school.

I think I will refine some to 999 just for the experience but I think stirling will be easier to pour, stack and give the best options to sell on when the time comes. Can sell at melt price without losing the premium I never paid. Wheres as if I refine everything to 999 I have to get it assayed to prove it.

Just a guess, but I'd say footycard was banned because of posting highly inappropriate material, as opposed to being a terrible spoil sport...
